2009-2010 Band Council The Grant High Band Council consists of students who were elected to participate in the leadership of the bands at Grant High School. These students' duties include: regular meetings to discuss band events, fundraising, etc.; reorganizing/decorating the band room; input on music selections; fostering spirit in the group; working with the Band Boosters for the promotion of the program. Band Council Responsibilities: It is the duty of all executive council members to attend two monthly meetings. Band Council meetings are on the second tuesday of each month, during lunch. Band Booster meetings are held on the third tuesday of each month, at 7pm. Both meetings are held in the band room. Ensemble Representatives are only expected to attend the Band Council meetings. Membership in the Band Council requires a great commitment. Musicians should only become candidates if they are willing to sacrifice their own time and energy for the good of the group.
