Trip Itinerary – Jazz / Wind Ensemble L.A. Tour 2007

Thursday, March 8

4:45am Meet @ PDX, Alaska Airlines — check in with Mr. Budge.

Start Checking in at the gate and go through security immediately, go to our terminal.

Eat a sack breakfast you brought from home. Please, no peanuts or nut products on the plane!

6:55am Depart PDX Alaska flight 252

9:18am Arrive @ LAX — Immediately proceed to baggage claim.

9:45am Load Bus. Have a snack (snacks provided by Band Boosters)

10:30am Arrive at Kodak Theater for tour

11:15-12pm Lunch at the Food Court at Hollywood & Highland Mall

12:00 Load Bus

12:30pm Attend Film Score master class with David Spear

1:30 pm Hollywood Sightseeing

4:00pm Leave Hollywood for Anaheim

5:00pm Check In @ Anaheim Plaza Inn and Suites

7:00pm Talent Show, pre-paid pizza dinner

8:30pm Pool Time

11:00pm Room Check (get some sleep)

Friday, March 9

6:30-8:30am Breakfast at Hotel – prepaid buffet

9:00am Load bus with instruments, equipment and performance attire.

9:30am Students will be escorted to Disneyland Resort

10:30 am Wind Ensemble students are escorted backstage

11:30am Jazz Ensemble students are escorted backstage

11:30am Wind Ensemble Performance in California Adventure, Hollywood Backlot

12:30pm Jazz Ensemble Performance in California Adventure, Hollywood Backlot

1:00pm Load bus to go to Yorba Linda Education Center

2:00pm Heritage Festival Performance at:

Yorba Linda Education Center

4175 Fairmont Boulevard

Yorba Linda, CA 92886

4pm Change into casual clothes and load bus. Return to Disneyland.

JE only students have the rest of the evening in the resort.

WE students will proceed into Disneyland for Recording clinic

7pm All students – free time for rest of the evening in Disneyland Resort

9:25pm Fireworks over the castle in Disneyland — Don’t miss them!

12:00am Park Closes – check in with chaperone before leaving Disneyland Resort, head back to hotel.

1:00am Room Check, lights out.

Saturday, March 10

6:30-8:30am Breakfast at Hotel – prepaid buffet

9:00am Check out – all rooms must be cleared out. Luggage and instruments will be stored at hotel

9:00am Free Time @ Disneyland Resort

4:00pm Load Bus (Please be respectful of the group. We all want to stay longer and have fun, but it’s rude to do so when everyone else is waiting on the bus for you).

5:10pm Arrive @ LAX

7:10pm Depart LAX Alaska flight 453

9:31pm Arrive @ PDX (Please check out with your chaperone)
